A New Year brings a promise of new beginnings, and I’m excited to start the month of January with a blog series called “Fresh Starts and New Mercies.”
Six beautiful friends will join me to offer encouragement, inspiration, and practical ideas for embracing a fresh start on a new year.
Because God has a fresh start in grace for each of us.

This series is not about making New Year’s resolutions in our own strength. Many of us have tried to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and make changes in our lives. That didn’t work for me. Did it work for you?
Instead, let’s grab hold of God’s grace when we fail and rejoice because each day brings new mercies. Our slates are wiped clean, and we’re free to continue making progress, no matter how slow. We’ll explore new opportunities to grow in hope and grace as we learn to let go of our own strength and lean into God’s power to accomplish what He’s calling us to.
“The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.”
Lamentations 3:22-23
